Blackberry Wine Cake

                                        1 (18.5oz.) box white cake mix

                                        1 (3 oz.) pkg. blackberry gelatin

                                        4 eggs

                                        1/2 cup cooking oil

                                        1 cup Grape Inspirations Blackberry Splash wine

In a large mixing bowl, stir together cake mix and gelatin.   Add eggs, cooking oil and blackberry wine, beating on low speed with an electric mixer until moistened.  Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping bowl frequently.  Pour batter into a heavily greased bundt pan.  Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Let cool and glaze with the topping.  

                                  Glaze:

                                        1 cup powdered sugar

                                        1/2 cup Grape Inspirations Blackberry splash wine

Mix sugar and wine in saucepan; bring to a boil.  Poke holes in a cake with a toothpick and drizzle glaze over cooled cake.

Note: For different flavors, You can substitute other wines and gelatins (e.g. Strawberry White zinfandel with strawberry gelatin, peach chardonnay with  peach gelatin, etc.)

 

Ron's Zesty Midwest Chili (meat chili)

Brown 1 lb lean ground beef and 1 lb mild pork sausage.  Drain grease.

Add 2 jars (4 cups) crazy charlie's gourmet zesty ot mild chili sauce.

Add 16 oz tomato puree.

Add 1 cup red wine (grape inspirations rio red).

Add 1 can red kidney beans.

Add 1 tbs dark chocolate chips (optional).

Add 1 tbsp ground cumin (optional).

Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

Makes 2 quarts.
